Theresa Shaughnessy - Chair
Theresa was a teacher and was Principal of Avonside Girls' High School until 2010. Then worked as a consultant until full retirement in 2015. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Linwood Woolston and is active within the club and the Rotary District.
She has a strong interest in art and volunteers as a guide at the Christchurch Art Gallery/Te Puna o Waiwhetu.
Andrew Tomlin - Secretary
An accountant, Andrew was previously principal at Ainger Tomlin Ltd, Chartered Accountants and is a long time Trustee. He is a director of Torlesse Wines and Past President of the Rotary Club of Hornby and has an involvement in several community and commercial groups in Christchurch.
Andrew is married with three children.
Murray Compton - Laugesen Family Trustee
Murray is a retired Chartered Accountant and was a partner in Ernst Young prior to establishing his own specialist tourism consulting practice. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Riccarton and a past District Governor. He was Chairman of the Nurse Maude Association for 20 years and remains on the Board. He was awarded the QSM for services to business and community in 2010. Originally a Rotary appointee to the Trust, he is now a Laugesen family appointee.
Kyran Newell - Trustee
Kyran retired from paid work in December 2022. For the 12 years prior to that he worked in executive development and business improvement as co-owner and co-director of Organisation Development Institute, which is a national provider of customised leadership development and organisation improvement programes throughout New Zealand.
Prior to that Kyran had a 35-year career in leadership and management positions (Chief Executive, National Manager, Regional Manager, Programme Manager, Trustee) across a broad range of industries (forestry, financial services, trustee services, executive education, retirement villages).
He has been a Rotarian since December 1996, is a Past President of the Rotary Clubs of Christchurch and Belfast-Kaiapoi, and is a current member of Ōtautahi Passport Rotary Club
David Kitson- Trustee
David is Managing Director and CEO of Quarry Capital Ltd, a South Island based specialist in Managed Investment Schemes. With over 35 years’ experience in banking and finance, David also has a number of years’ experience in all aspects of property development, investment, and managing distressed assets. He is a Chartered Accountant and a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), and is a director of a number of private companies in Christchurch. David is also Past President of Rotary Club of Christchurch Sunrise.
Kintilla du Boucher-Ryan - Trustee
Kintilla is an experienced marketer with a focus on digital marketing. She spent a decade at advertising agencies, working with clients in NZ, Australia and the USA, and now works at Skellerup Industies Ltd. She has presented at industry events for the Marketing Association and run training sessions for the Canterbury Employers’ Chamber of Commerce.
Kintilla is a member of the Rotary Club of Christchurch, and is the Club’s representative for the Keith Laugesen Trust. She is a director of the CDF and former director of the Rotary Club of Christchurch.
